Summer Enrollment elections began Sept. 1. When you get your paycheck (or Oct. 8 paycheck for bi-weekly), check to make sure there are deductions for the coverage you signed up for, and no deductions for any coverage you dropped.

The Excellence in Assessment Grant enters its second year, offering three awards of up to $5,000 each to support innovative, student-centered projects that strengthen learning, enhance assessment practices, and advance institutional priorities. Faculty and staff are encouraged to submit proposals.

51±¬ÁÏ has appointed Dr. Chunda Chen as its new Ombudsman, effective Sept. 1, 2026. The Ombudsman will act as an independent resource to address concerns, resolve complaints, and promote fairness across the university. Dr. Chen can be reached at (409) 880-7981.
