Effective
September 1, 2025, all student and hourly positions must be posted through
NeoEd. Applicants are required to apply via NeoEd
before any onboarding materials are sent out.To assist with this transition, please refer to the following resources:
1. Submit Requisition
The department initiates the hiring process by submitting a requisition through NeoEd.
2. HR Review & Job Posting
Human Resources reviews and approves the requisition, then posts the job opening.
3. Application Review
The Hiring Manager who submitted the requisition can view and evaluate the applications.
4. Candidate Selection
Once the department selects the candidate(s) they wish to hire, they must email the following
details to HR@lamar.edu:
a. Full Name
b. L Number
c. Requisition Number
d. Proposed Start Date
e. Pay Rate
- Failure to submit complete and accurate information may delay onboarding and the
student's start date.
5. Onboarding InitiationHR will issue an offer letter through the system, which the applicant must log in to review and
sign before receiving their onboarding documents.
- If onboarding is not initiated due to missing or incorrect information, the candidate will not be cleared to begin work.
6. EPAF Submission
After the onboarding paperwork is completed and the background check is cleared, HR will
notify the department to proceed with submitting the EPAF.
- Delays in submitting the EPAF after HR notification may result in postponed start dates
and payroll processing issues
