A. Stipend (up to $800 for students ONLY per project).(1) If two or more students, they will split the $800 stipend. | $800 |
B. Travel for students during the project for reasons related strictly to the project (no more than $500 will be allocated).(2) | $500 |
C. Supplies(3) & other direct costs as allowed by the university policies and state/federal regulations. | $1,000 |
TOTAL PROJECT COST | $2,300 |
Example for Budget Justification:
(1) The stipend will support part-time & effort for the student. A student who is a sole PI will receive $400 in January and $400 in June, upon submission of the final report. When more PIs, they split even each stipend.
(2) The student will travel to the National Conference of Undergraduate Research. The student should provide details about the event and relate to his/her project. The travel budget will cover partially his/her travel expenses.
(3) Supplies: Here is an example: 25 analytical kits for total dissolved nitrogen, labware for experiment, including 5 250-ml beakers, and 100 pipet tips.
